I'm Tired

It's official. Today tired me out.

AM swim workout:
2600 yds total @YMCA (900 yds warmup including 8x50 as 25 drill/25 swim, 400 yds cooldown)

7x100 w/20 seconds rest descending:
(1:23.5, 1:22.0, 1:20.5, 1:19.5, 1:19.3, 1:17.8, 1:15.9)

then 1:30 rest followed by 3x100 w/20 sec rest at same pace as last 100: (1:14.4, 1:15.3, 1:14.0)

then 300 steady kick (4:51)

No joke - I was hurtin' on that last 100. Felt good to hurt though.

PM run workout:
After work (wherein I endured a 6 hour meeting - I kid you not!!) I headed to the shop. First up, a run. I discovered a little park near the shop that just happens to have a crushed limestone trail around it! Not a lot of great places to run from the shop so this was a definite gem of a find. And the park is about 2 miles from the shop so it made for a nice run. I did 46 minutes total with 5x20 second striders in there (on the grassy fields at the park). I felt pretty good but took it easy.

PM cycling workout:
I had about 30 minutes after my run to stretch, get something to eat and set up my bike for movie night. My cycling workout tonight was 1:25 total on the trainer w/10 minutes/leg of ILT in the middle. I have to admit - my legs were revolting (mostly my quads) for about the first 30 minutes. But I eventually felt better and got through the workout.

And now I'm tired. Want to know something very cruel that happened to me this morning? I woke up in the middle of the night (or so I thought) and was like "wow - it's probably like 1 am and I have 4 more hours to sleep - yeah!" So I look at my watch and it's 4:43 am. My alarm goes off at 4:45 am. Yep - I'm still trying to recover from that one. :)

Better get to bed - it will soon be time to go it all over again!
