Great Ride

I decided that riding by yourself every once in a while isn't such a bad thing. Case in point - today's ride.

I went into work really early so that I could leave early and (hopefully) get my full 2:15 ride in outside in the light if it indeed was going to be warm enough to ride outside. I got to the shop and got ready by 3 pm and although it really wasn't that warm and it was sort of spitting/drizzling I decided to go outside anyway. I'm glad I did. I was cold but it was so much better than riding inside on the trainer.

I rode 40 miles total in about 2:10 - 20 miles out and then I just turned around and came right back. That's one long road I was on. :) It was a great ride. I didn't push myself - just sort of cruised along, hammered when I felt like it and took it easy when I felt like it. And I felt good. I just kind of let my mind wonder. Very cathartic.

After a nice, hot shower I headed to pilates. We had the instructor that really focuses on core today so my mid-section was on fire! My lower back might never be the same. :)

And that's that. I have some homework to do now. Let's see if I actually do it... Good night everyone!
