Two More Workouts
I know, I know, my creativity in writing blog titles is unparalleled. :)
AM swim workout - YMCA
When my alarm went off this morning I was not a happy camper. Tired from a long week. Pouring down rain. Darker than dark could be. Freezing cold in our house. 4:45 AM. I heart none of the above. No, not one. But it is what it is so I got up anyway and let Roxy outside. Then I put on my bathing suit. Then I got in my car and turned up the music so loud I think I still have Red Hot Chili Peppers reverberating in my head. It did the trick.
3200 yds total (300 yds warmup, 400 yds cooldown)
100 - 1:27 (10 sec rest)
200 - 2:57 (15 sec rest)
300 - 4:23 (15 sec rest)
400 - 5:46 (30 sec rest)
500 - 7:10 (40 sec rest)
400 - 5:41 (30 sec rest)
300 - 4:15 (15 sec rest)
200 - 2:49 (15 sec rest)
100 - 1:23
Shoulder feels fine. 1:25/100 yd pace is slowly but surely getting more comfortable.
Work was rough. Just tired that's all. Keeping the eyes open was brutal.
I was very much looking forward to my run this evening, although it was cold, raining and I didn't get started until 6 pm (longer commute than usual!). The good news was O was going to run with me. That was very good motivation indeed.
We went to the trail and ran 80 minutes and I felt great. O and I don't see each other too much with all that we have going on so we had lots to chat about. I was to stay in zone 1 so I had to hold back some but we still ran about 7:15-7:30 pace. I'm calling it 10.7 miles. It was pretty dark by the time we finished but just a great night to run. Good stuff folks, good stuff.
Now it's time for dinner. I'm more hungry than you could imagine...
