Riding Outside

It was 60 degrees this afternoon! Yipppeeeee! It also happened to be raining but I couldn't squander the warm weather so coach and I rode outside today. It was delightful. Makes me miss summer and summer is so far away!

We only rode for about 1:15, hard at times, easy at others. He just got a new bike (a BMC just like mine!) so he was testing it out. It was spitting at first, raining harder in the middle and then spitting again at the end. I was cold when it was all said and done but only because I was wet. Great ride. Probably the best I've felt cycling since my last race. The trainer just isn't the same thing (much like how the treadmill sucks)!

Afterwards I took a shower and then hung out in the shop until my pilates class (which is right down the road). The shop is a good place to hang out. Cool triathlete people come in all the time. This evening a guy doing IM Florida was in to get some Zipp wheels on his bike and get things all packed up for him to fly out tomorrow. It's his first IM and only his 2nd triathlon ever. Talk about guts! And then some guy came in and bought a pimped out 5 grand Orbea tri bike! Kind of crazy how people just do that. Although I'm sure he put some thought into it beforehand.

Anyway, my pilates class was good tonight. There was a different instructor and she made things harder but she said I had nice abductors (or something like that) so I like her. :) I really hope putting the time into pilates will make a difference for my core and keep me healthier overall.

Hope everyone has a great night! :)
