I Hate School and Other Various Topics
I have an exam tomorrow that I of course did not yet study for and it's at times like these that I really hate school. One of these days I'll be done with my masters and I won't ever go to school again. One of these days.... :)
In other news, O's marathon is this Sunday! He just went out for a little 3 mile run. Sunday he'll be doing the Towpath Marathon near Akron, Ohio. His goal is to run under 3:30 (previous marathon PR 3:37) and I'm very confident he can do it. I'm very excited for him, and I have to admit, pretty proud of him. For someone who doesn't particulary love to run long he's remained quite committed to his training even though he's done every single workout and every single long run BY HIMSELF. That's hard to do. Not sure I could have done it myself. Not to mention the fact that he often had to squeeze his long runs in at weird times - on a hot Friday afternoon, early on a Sunday before church, and I remember a particularly wet and nasty Saturday morning long run as well. Through it all though he kept pushing forward, getting in the miles and growing stronger. I'm really looking forward to finally being able to support him at a race instead of vice versa. I know I won't be as good of an equipment manager as he is for me but I'm going to try! And most of all I can't wait to see his smiling face when he achieves his goal on Sunday morning! Go O go! :)
In other other news (and much more boring), I did another little ride today, this time outside but again for just 45 minutes. Let me tell you how much energy I have now that I'm not training 2-3 hours/day! It's insane! My co-workers are really wondering when I'm going to start training hard again because they're sick of me already. Bouncing. Off. The. Walls! That and for the past two days I've suddenly taken to drinking coffee again. Not sure why. I drank coffee like a fiend for the whole year I did my clinical internship after graduating from college. And then one day I just didn't drink it anymore. I already drink Diet Pepsi like it's going out of style so I really don't need to add coffee too as my caffeine load would be astronomical. If there's one thing about me it's the fact that when I do something I do it with full force. Moderation seems to be a curse word in my vocabulary... :)
Time for dinner!

"go, O go!" has to be about as tribalistic as you can get! Has this wonderful rain-dance rhythmical quality about it... Hey.... Tri-Balistic... there's a way to describe Beth's lack of moderation (example: she's like way Tri-Balistic when it comes to swim-cyle-run training :) ... go, O GO!!!
(PS. For some reason I picture your home's walls with different cartoon-like cutouts of Beth's silhouette bursting out, you know, on a bike, running,... Beware Caesar, the ides of... the caffeine overload...)
