CompuTrainer

Today I rode easy on the CompuTrainer at the shop. I'm not even sure I would call it riding. It was more like active sitting. :) Anyway, in case you don't know the CompuTrainer allows you to ride different courses that you might find at bigger races throughout the country. For instance today I was riding on the EagleMan half IM course, a ride that I will hopefully be doing in real life come June 2007. And so besides doing that the program gives you ALLLLLLL kind of data like power output, ave MPH, HR, and you kind of race this little guy (if you want) to see who wins. There is also this stroke (that's pedal stroke of course) analysis thing that helps you to understand where all your power is in your stroke and how you really should be pushing and pulling on the pedals, etc...

Anyway, it was good to get used to the thing while I was just riding easy and messing around. Coach asked if I was having fun. And before I could reply he said "good - you'll be in that saddle a lot over the next few months." It may just be a very longgggggg winter. :)
