Wet and Yucky

Ernie came our way in the form of some major rain today. Nothing like rain along the coast I'm sure, but rain nonetheless. My poor cousin was getting married today. It actually turned out okay as the heavy rain had stopped by the time the wedding started but there have definitely been prettier wedding days!

Regardless, I wasn't too sure what was going to happen with the team ride this morning but I headed down to the store anyway. It was pouring and about 54 degrees. Brrrrr! I brought just about every combination of clothing I could think of including running clothes, cycling clothes for in and out, etc... The only thing I didn't bring was my bathing suit! :)

When I got there Coach J and I were the only ones there. I guess the rain scared everyone away but it scared us away too because we stayed inside and rode on trainers. Running in a cold-ish rain is one thing, cycling in it is a very different thing. Anyway, we cycled to a Spinervals DVD which took a little over and hour and then we ran outside for about 33 minutes easy. Not necessarily what I had planned but a good training day nonetheless.

I rushed home afterwards and got ready for the wedding. It was a fun day. And now I'm ready for bed! :)
