Trail Run
It's summer in Pittsburgh again! It was sunny and 80 degrees here today. Unfortunately I think this weather will be short lived. The high on Wednesday is 56 degrees.
I enjoyed the beautiful weather this afternoon on a trail run. I ran the high school cross country course (which is on all trails in a local park) two times for about 6 miles in 47 minutes or so. I ran mostly easy in zones 1 and 2 but let my HR get up to zone 3 on the uphills (which there are quite a few of on this course!). It was a great run. I felt good. Nice day. No complaints here. :)
Unfortunately I'm now off to a funeral viewing for one of my cycling teammates. Probably the friendliest guy on the team was killed Friday morning (non cycling related). We were both new to the team this year and he really helped me on some of those early rides when I would get dropped! Makes me sick to think that he's gone. But I hope he is in a much better place right now and not feeling any more pain. I miss him already.
