Rolling Along

No swimming, no running today, just riding. Loved it!

I went on the Trizilla team ride this morning. I really enjoy riding with those guys. Much like when I first went to Penn State and had this whole group of really great athletes to run with, I love riding with a nice group. Especially because I can draft off them. Well okay, I have to draft off them at times just in order to hang on. But I can get them up the hills. That's where my size becomes a huge advantage. :)

We went for 2 hours this morning, a little over 38 miles. The ride we did is pretty hilly, rolling at times but also has about 5 sizeable hills. My legs are tired and ready for a day off tomorrow but I felt strong. It was a lot hotter and muggier than it has been. I sucked down my bottle of Gatorade within the first 15 miles and then was half way through my water when we luckily stopped for more water around 25 miles.

And thus finishes another pretty big week (for me):

Sunday - 50 minutes running w/5x3 min hard, core/feet exercises
Monday - 45 minutes easy running
Tuesday - 3550 yd swim (off stroke) in am, 15 mile crit (28 miles total riding)/31 min run in pm, 2x25 pushups/2x100 crunchers
Wednesday - 45 minute run w/4x3 min hard, core/feet exercises
Thursday - 3300 yd swim w/16x125, 2x100 crunchers (skipped pushups because of my sore shoulder)
Friday - 3500 yd swim w/(4x200, 2x400, 1x800) in am, 21 mile ride/25 min run in pm, core/feet exercises
Saturday - 38 mile ride, body weight circuit x 2
Sunday - off
