Pre-Race Workout (again)

I guess when you race every weekend you feel like you are always packing and then unpacking your race gear. I'm starting to get that feeling. I should just leave it in the car. :)

This morning I went on the Trizilla team ride, although a shortened, easier version since I'm racing tomorrow. Luckily a lot of the guys are racing tomorrow too (cycling races that is, not triathlons) so everyone was sort of taking it easy. I rode about 23 miles in 1:11 or 1:12 on a really nice flat course. It was absolutely beautiful outside. I felt like riding forever but unfortunately that would probably not lead to a great performance tomorrow. :) When I got back to the shop I packed up the bike pretty quickly and headed to the YMCA for a quick swim, 1000 yds easy, only about 20 minutes. I incorporated 5x25 yd accelerations, sort of like swimming striders. :)

And that's the training for today! Tomorrow the race, Monday off (?). Sounds like a plan!

As for now, I'm stuck in the basement of our house. We got our carpets cleaned this morning (much needed!) and so they are drying and we are not allowed to walk on them. Good thing for O's wireless connection so I can be on the internet! :)
