New Goggles
Every time I try to type goggles, I type google instead. It's very interesting. I definitely type google more often than I type the word goggles but you think I would be able to get it right when I'm trying specifically to do it right. What if you googled goggles? That would just be crazy.
Anyway, the point of all this is to tell you that I bought new googles...er...goggles today, a fact that I'm sure you are so interested in, you can barely stand it. My old ones fog up so bad I just can't take it. I know this will eventually happen to all goggles (I did it right that time!), so I got myself a new pair today. I'll get to try them out tomorrow morning.
Today after work I took a little bike ride that involved riding easy for 25 minutes or so, then 6 minutes hard, then the rest of the ride easy. On the 6 minutes hard I was riding slightly uphill on a long straightaway. I averaged 24 MPH. I wish I could do that for a whole race (and then run a 10K in 36 minutes...I'd be golden if I could do that :). Anyway, it was a good ride. In the end I rode for a little over an hour (1:04) for a little over 20 miles (20.5). I miss riding my tri bike. It's such a hard choice because the road bike I ride is a much better bike with much better components and a better wheelset so I love it, but when I ride it I miss my aerobars. Clearly the solution is to buy a better tri bike so if anyone wants to donate to the Beth-needs-a-P3-Carbon-Cervelo fund, go ahead and donate away. :)
Off to pay some bills...

1) Not a bad idea about the goggles on the bike. They do have 180 degree visibility!
2) Well you see my dear...that's why you need to get a THIRD job...so I can ride on an all carbon frame. You do want me to be fast don't you?! :)

Cervelos are so sweet. My friend Scott has one and he wants to name his dog Cervelo. If I win the lottery I will certainly contribute to your sweet tri bike fund.

what type of goggles do you use??? my favs are Speedo Vanquisher.... clear for indoors blue for out...

My wife and i always have "discussions" about my need for new gear.... it use to be guitars now its bikes...
