Sleepy Swim
This morning when I got up I was a little disoriented. The disorientation continued as I started my swim. My first repeat went something like this...
*I was supposed to swim a 300 yd hard
*I swam what I thought was 300 yds hard, all the while feeling like I was drowning
*I finished and looked at my watch and quickly determined I had really only swam 250 yds because my time was too fast for feeling so tired and slow
*I quickly took off again for the last 50 yds
*As I was swimming said 50 yds, I redid the math in my head and determined that indeed I had swam 300 yds already
*I finished what was now a 350 yd interval and wonder if my goggles are too tight and somehow squeezing my brain :)
Luckily the rest of the workout went much better. I was sort of all over the place with my times. I keep telling myself I'm going to shorten my rests - since I'm able to swim a little faster now, 300 yds on 6 is too long a rest interval - but today I just stuck with what I had written. Doing additional math to change around my workout would have been too challenging. :)
400 yds easy, 200 yds kick easy, 200 yds easy
3 sets of
300 on 6
200 on 4
100 on 2
6x50 yds on 1
300 yds kick easy, 300 yd easy
The workout was 3500 yds total. Right now I'm going to do some pushups and crunchers and then fold some laundry and then sleep like a brick, for a long time... :)
