Duck Clothes

So there is this house up the street from where we live that has a duck statue on the front porch. It cracks me up because the duck always has a different outfit on. Sometimes it's wearing Steeler garb, around Christmas it had a Santa hat on. It had a little heart dress around Valentine's Day and naturally it has a shamrock cape on right now. I look for it every day on my way home from work to see if it changed clothes while I was gone. I think I'm going to have to sneak by one day and take pictures for my blog so you all can see it too. :)

Anyway, today I worked. It was a pretty nice, quiet day. Just the way I like it. After work I headed over to the Pitt gym. There was some sort of high school wrestling tournament going on in the building so there were skinny high school boys all over the place. Did I mention that they were STINKY, skinny high school boys? Wrestlers are an interesting bunch. Don't get me wrong, I think they are very tough athletes. The high school I went to had a very good wrestling program (that produced quite a few college All-Americans) and I respected them very much for their discipline and toughness, but the fact remains, wrestlers don't smell very good.

I digress. I did the bike and the elliptical at the gym today, 30 minutes each. I watched the Stanford-Oklahoma women's basketball game and wondered if there was a sport Stanford was NOT good at. We all know how well they perform in cross country and track, swimming, golf, baseball, etc... Anyway I also did my core exercises at the gym and then headed home. I plan on doing my feet exercises today as well.

One thing I don't plan on doing is homework tonight. I just can't bring myself to it. It will have to wait until tomorrow!

Week Summary:

Sunday - 70 minute run, core/feet exercises
Monday - 45 minute bike and weights
Tuesday - 1 hour spinning class, 20 minute run, core/feet exercises
Wednesday - lifting only
Thursday - 60 minute run
Friday - 3500 yd swim w/4x(300,200,100), 2x25 pushups, 2x100 crunchers
Saturday - 30 min bike, 30 min elliptical, core/feet exercises

My grandma used to have a cement duck with lots of clothes for it. We'd visit and find the duck creatively dressed, much as you described. When she passed away and we cleaned out her home, we found dozens of duck outfits, dozens. Many of them she had hand-made herself. We had no idea of the extent of her hobby!
