Procrastination

I have a paper that I have to write (that I NEED to write) but I'm not getting anywhere with it. So I decided to take a break from staring at the screen on my computer and write a blog entry. Perhaps it will get the writing juices flowing.

This morning I hit the pool and the bike. I did a workout in the pool (10x50 yd hard, 8x25 yd kick hard totaling 1500 yds with warmup and cooldown) and then had about 5 minutes to change and get myself up to a spinning class that was starting at 9:30 am. I thought that it would be good to swim and then bike to get myself used to that transition. I'm sure the swim ---> bike is the much easier transition of the two, but it's still a transition nonetheless. The spinning class was taught by a different instructor than I usually go to but she was really good and encouraging too. I took it a little easy on the resistance today just to give myself a break and not overdo it.

So after my workouts I came home, did core exercises, feet exercises, iced the feet, showered, stretched, ate lunch, cleaned up, stared at the computer screen x 20 minutes, and that brings us to the present. UGH - why is writing so hard? :)

Summary for the week:

Sunday - Roxy walk, core exercises, feet exercises
Monday - 45 minutes on bike and weights
Tuesday - off (class)
Wednesday - 1 hour spinning and weights
Thursday - Roxy walk, core exercises, feet exercises (Happy Thanksgiving!)
Friday - 2000 yd swim workout (20x25, 4x50 kick)
Saturday - 1500 yd swim workout (10x40, 8x25 kick), 1 hour spinning, core exercises, feet exercises
