Thanks!

Getting up for work in 5 hours so must make this quick....

BUT - I wanted to thank everyone for their kind words of encouragment yesterday! I appreciated every one of them. Life certainly has its ups and downs and while I've seemed to be on a down for a while, I know I will soon be up again! I'm amazed at how much support everyone gives despite the fact that I have never met you guys! :)

Today was a much better day. For one, my feet felt much better. The cortisone flare must have subsided. I actually did a little running today. I went back and forth about the decision to run all day - my feet felt okay but they had hurt so badly yesterday I didn't know what to do. Ultimately I decided to do a walk/jog as the podiatrist had orginally suggested. I walked 8 minutes, jogged 20, walked 6, jogged 10, walked another 8, did some core exercises and then called it a day! :) I have been much better about icing as well. I have a PT appointment on Monday. The boot is helping. All very good things! :)

The best news is - O and I are definitely getting Roxy the dog! I must admit, this has really lifted my spirits. I love dogs. Now I will get to see if I love living with one. Tonight O and I went dog shopping...dog toys, dog food, dog bed, dog shampoo, dog biscuits, dog bowls. We are Roxy-ready! We are driving to Harrisburg on Sunday to pick her up. I cannot wait! I hope she likes us and her new home!

And now I must sleep. That alarm is going to be going off pretty soon! Have a great weekend everyone!

Congrats on your new addition to your home! As a fellow dog lover I can attest a dog does add so much! And it sounds like Roxie is a lucky pup to have found you guys. Now will Roxie be a running doggie? I got my pup from an aussie rescue organization and he definately lives to run!!

Beth,

I just got a chance to read your previous entry. I know from reading everything that you have written for over a year, that it takes a lot to really get you down, so you must have been having a real doozy of a day.

I am so happy to hear that your feet felt better today and that things in general are better. Wow, you've got a long hike to pick up Roxy, I hope that she behaves on the ride home!
