Hitting the Gym...Again
Day number 2 of cross training yielded a little bike workout, a pinch of the elliptical and a tad bit of lifting. Fun times my friends!
Let me first start off by saying that there has GOT to be some type of electrical malfunction in that gym. It was so hot in there today. I was sweating just standing around, so as you may imagine, my shirt was totally soaked through after my foray on the bike. I probably sweat out 2 liters! That means lots of extra water...or perhaps just an IV tomorrow at work... :)
Regardless, I had a good cross training day. I started with the bike, where I did 15 minutes easy, 15x1 minute hard with 1 minute easy, and then another 5 minutes easy (for a total of 50 minutes). I then did the elliptical for an easy 10 minutes. I would have just stuck with the bike for those last 10 minutes but I was relatively certain the bones in my butt were wearing through my skin, so I wanted to stand up and do something different! After the elliptical I lifted. All in all a good day.
My current plan is to cross train one more day tomorrow and then try a little running on Saturday. My leg definitely feels better today. But I can still feel it walking around, so I know running on it right now would hurt. Certain maneuvers (such as standing on just the one leg that hurts) are really big ouches! Clearly I'm going to have to sweet talk this groin a little. It worked with my feet! :)

The standing on one leg groin pain reminds me of two injuries I've had - a adductor strain, and a stress fracture in my pubic bone. Hopefully what you have is more like the former than the latter. I hope you're back on the roads soon, though reading about your trips to the gym is quite amusing!
