Being 'good'
Despite the sun shining outside, I knew what I had to do this morning and it took place inside on the spin bike. I tried not to feel too sorry for myself; at least I had a nice gym to work out in and a day on the beach to look forward to. My Achilles was a little less sore today than it was yesterday, so riding the spin bike ended up feeling more comfortable than yesterday too. It took a bit of adjustment to get the seat and handlebar height right, but eventually I did. I rocked out to my iPod for an hour, doing my usual on-off hill intervals and then switched to the elliptical for another half-hour or so. It was pretty warm in the gym and by that time I was just as soaked as I would have been after a run outside in the Florida sun. And my Achilles wasn't too terrible either so I was pretty satisfied.
We're on our way out to dinner after spending most of the afternoon on the beach and then a quick visit to the gym. We've got one more full day here and I think all of us are hoping to make the most of it!
