Election night hangover

I wouldn't trade my time on the couch last night listening to Obama's acceptance speech for anything, but I definitely didn't get enough sleep. I felt kind of off when I woke up and really wished I could go back to sleep for a couple more hours. But alas...I was dressed to run and out the door as quickly as I could muster (not quickly). It was very mild and humid and I was stripped down to my sports bra in no time. It is supposed to be near 80 the next couple of days, I think, and warm on the weekend too so there is more of that wardrobe to come.

I had a little less than an hour to run and I did one of my neighborhood routes with a couple of add-ons when the time didn't quite work. My legs didn't feel as springy as yesterday and although my knee really didn't bother me a lot, I had a few twinges. So it was a step down from yesterday, I'd say, but not too terrible. I'm sure the lack of sleep didn't help things.

Everyone at work was excited about the election results so that was fun...but we were also all pretty sleepy, which was not so fun. The day seemed sort of long despite the fact that I had a lot of work to do and I was psyched to find a Diet Coke in the kitchen for a caffeine boost. I'm not sure it helped too much but I did get through some biking and lifting this evening and now I am hoping to get into bed within the next half-hour or so. I hope it helps!
