Heading home

I am sitting in the airport waiting to board my flight back to DC. I hope I managed to get a little work done in addition to the snoozing that inevitably comes (for me) with air travel. I've enjoyed my time in San Diego and the conference, but I am definitely glad to be going home and getting back to my routine.

I did get to Balboa Park for the final time during my trip this morning--I felt a little rushed because I woke up a little late. My knee bothered me off and on and was better when I remembered to think about my form. I think my legs are pretty tired from four days in a row of running on pavement so I am not surprised I am having some issues and I look forward to being on the bike tomorrow morning. I've missed a lot of TV as well!

I did almost the same run this morning as I did on Monday but I tried to get closer to the Morley Field/Foot Locker course area this time. However, I didn't get as close as I wanted to actually run there, I just saw it in the distance, looked at my watch and realized I had to turn around.

I am getting excited to see how the marathon goes this weekend in New York for Kara, Katie, et. al. Seems like there is a lot of excitement in the media as well and that bodes well for the sport.
