Dead legs
I have no idea why my legs were so heavy and sore this morning, but they certainly were , from the first steps I took. I guess from more biking than usual, because I didn't do any lower-body lifting yesterday, I swear! I unfortunately chose a hilly route, too, so things didn't improve much. The Mass. Ave. hills are great for hill training but probably not the best idea for me--you live and learn. As for my knee, well, it felt like it usually does these days: discomfort on and off but nothing too terrible. I will shout it from the rooftops if I get through a run pain-free. In case you were wondering about the weather, today's highs reached the mid-80s (close to a record) but in the morning it was pretty comfortable. And dark--this is the time of year when it doesn't get light out until well after 7!
I had to do a couple of errands at lunch and I can attest to the fact that it felt like a (nice) day in the middle of summer. Fall temps are supposed to return at the end of the week and I can't wait!
The gym tonight went pretty well. I avoided anything that might make my legs more sore, or at least I hope I did. I am pretty much addicted to the Stephenie Meyer books right now so I was quite entertained on the stationary bike. I am not a fantasy/vampire person at all but I feel that I've opened the can of worms so I might as well read them all!
