Back to business
When my alarm went off this morning, I wondered if it was the middle of the night. I did end up getting a decent amount of sleep, but I was groggy when I got out of bed and attributed that to the time change. I worried that I was going to feel like that all day...but first I needed to get in my workout. Once I started biking, I felt a little bit more awake. I think my knee was glad to be off the roads and it was nice to do something different (and catch up on some shows) after several runs in a row. Nothing too exciting to report about the workout but it went well.
I didn't feel too tired during the day at work, either. It will probably hit me tomorrow. It was nice to be back in the office and catch up on all that had happened when I was gone. It is a social place so it is usually fun to be there. I was busy most of the day and ready to get back to the gym by the time it was over.
I started a new book on the bike ("American Wife" by Curtis Sittenfeld) after finally finishing the Stephenie Meyer series last night. Then I lifted and it was quite refreshing after not having been to (that) gym in a week. I should take these breaks more often, I guess...
Matt is back from all his travels as well and we are preparing for the onslaught of trick-or-treaters tomorrow (i.e. putting candy in a bowl). I am excited as this is our first Halloween in our house!
