Mundane Monday

The best way to describe today was...Monday. It just had that beginning-of-the-week quality that everyone in the working world associates with Monday. At least getting up wasn't hard because I had gotten a decent amount of sleep over the weekend. I decided to bike in the morning and hit the treadmill tonight. So it was another episode of "House" and then last night's pre-VMA episode of "The Hills." Lots of drama this season, as always. But no drama with my bike ride; I felt good although time seemed to drag. Another Monday symptom, I think.

Fast-forward to the end of the day. It was supposed to be "comfortable" out today but I found it quite humid walking to the gym and I was sweaty by the time I got there. Continuing on the Monday theme, all but one of the treadmills were taken. I snagged the remaining one that fortuitously was next to a broken one and did a quick run. I actually felt okay once I settled into my pace, but since I had had a few niggles walking around today, I decided to just call it at 20 minutes and then elliptical for a bit, and hopefully I can carry that positive energy into a run tomorrow morning. If I wake up on time, of course.

Other than the busy-ness of the gym tonight, everything else was fine. My sciatica/back issue seems to have resolved itself although I am still being careful not to re-aggravate it. I'm sure it was caused by something I did at the gym, and my next step it to figure it out without injuring myself again!
