Working and supervising from home

Today was the day of house stuff and deliveries for me. I worked from home and supervised all the action. We had our alarm installed too, and that took way longer than I expected and distracted me from doing my actual work (loud sirens will do that). By the time all my "guests" left, it was mid-day and I was glad I had woken up early to get in a trainer ride. It was a good one--my knee felt okay and I was in a groove and working hard. I started watching "The Jane Austen Book Club" after my "House" DVD was finished and it's another one of those I'm not sure I'll finish. Really, how could there be so many bad movies out there??

Matt took the car to work this morning and I needed to get it, so I ran there (20 minutes) to pick it up. It was during the afternoon and raining, so there were fewer people out, which is good for me. I really think I subconsciously pick up my pace when there are a lot of people around. I think I need to avoid the bike trail on weekends and early mornings but it is the only relatively flat stretch around so I'm not sure if that is a good decision. I guess I won't know until I try.

We have a quiet but hopefully relaxing and productive weekend planned. Happy long weekend to all!
