Weekend 'off'
I'm not sure why this day felt long, but it did. Long in a good way, I guess. Matt's day started early as he had a 7am flight to Nevada (but for a bachelor party so he should have a fun time). I tried to use his getting up to spur me on to an early wake-up, but it was not meant to be. I had taken the day off because my flight to NY was in the morning, so I slept in until almost 7. It felt great after being so tired yesterday. I finally got up and headed out to try another outside run. I promised myself that I would only do about 30 minutes (it was 32) and just do an out and back on the Capital Crescent. It wasn't perfect, but it was better than last time and that's all I can hope for right now. It also happened to be a really nice, not-too-humid morning, so I was grateful to be out there.
When I got back I hopped on the bike and finished "No Reservations" from yesterday. Very cheesy and predictable, but watchable. Again, can't ask for too much more. My knee was a little sore from the run when I first started biking but it warmed up quickly.
The Delta Shuttle is awesome when there are no weather delays and I was even early getting into NY. My mom picked me up and we had a fun day lunching and shopping and then met my dad back on home for a nice home-cooked meal. It is nice to be away for a weekend from my house/adult responsibilities.
Happy weekend to all!
