Rainy Fourth
I am always a little down when I can't run races on the two major "race days" of the year--Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July. Ah, well...maybe next year. I spent my morning watching Anna Willard dominate the steeplechase on last night's coverage of the Trials (I made it until about 12:30 and then I just couldn't keep my eyes open). I was biking while I watched, of course, and there was lots more TV after that. Since we just installed cable, we are getting a few free months of Showtime and a few other channels and I am taking full advantage. My knee was a little sore today on the bike and it didn't help that my chain still seems out of whack. I am just hoping that it will get better on its own...but I will probably have to visit the bike store eventually.
We did more unpacking, organizing, and cleaning in the house today. It was one of those days where I blinked and it was 4pm already. We hung out with our neighbors a little in the late afternoon and then we went downtown to watch the Mall fireworks from the roof of a building Matt's company owns. Best view you could ask for and it is nice and quiet. A few friends joined us so it was a good time. It did rain a little, but I didn't mind since it was actually pretty cool out. Another Fourth in the books!

Hi Bex:
hope all is well and congrats on the move...very exciting! QQ, can you define steeplechase? I've been seeing the term used a bit and didn't know who else to ask. Thx!
