Late one
I can't believe I made it this long on a Friday night without falling asleep. We just got home from a 30th birthday party on a rooftop not too far from us. Being that high off the ground really cooled things off (we are having a major heat wave) and the views were great too. One of my favorite things about the party was that the theme was kid food--a bucket of candy when you walked in, and none of the food was fancy--mini hot dogs, mac and cheese, and little burgers. A very nice idea and it worked well.
Earlier in the day, I spent a good chunk of time on the bike and caught up with the latest (to me) episodes of "Weeds." I didn't feel too much soreness from yesterday's "run" and the workout seemed to go by quickly. I was glad that it was Friday and I think that was part of it!
Before the birthday party, my colleagues and I all went to a baby shower for a co-worker who is due in August. This particular co-worker works from Philly but a local person hosted the shower. It was nice and we all got to leave the office a bit early, a nice bonus!
