25 straight

It used to be 25 miles, now it's 25 minutes...but I'll take it. I did my run on the treadmill this afternoon because I knew I'd have some extra time after a meeting downtown. And I knew I'd probably feel better on the treadmill rather than outside--at least physically. I was very bored, but I felt pretty good. Still slow, but consistent, so I'm feeling pretty good about it. I did a little biking after that and also lifted and then walked home in a rainstorm, but it wasn't nearly as torrential as the last few I've gotten caught in. And I had an umbrella.

In the morning, I rode my trainer. Shocker. I watched some more of "The Closer." I think it's growing on me, although the pace is still a little slower than some of the other shows I find more riveting. I was recently updating my Netflix queue and almost added a movie with subtitles, but somehow I don't think that would be so great while on the bike.

My grandfather (in Boston) had a pretty minor heart procedure today, but it's always worrisome with 86-year-olds. He came through fine and sounded chipper tonight, even telling me that he could keep up with me in a race...actually that might not be such a stretch right now!
