Technical difficulties
My otherwise enjoyable trainer ride this morning was marred by a DVD that was stuck in one spot near the end of a "Dexter" episode. Netflix will definitely be hearing about this one! Aside from that, everything was fine. My knee felt okay and even the temperature inside was cool because I opened the window and colder air than I've felt in a long time came rushing in. We've had a ton of rain here and it really caused a change in the weather. (Again, I probably would have enjoyed running in it.)
Work was busy today but not stressfully so. Everyone was complaining about the dreary Monday so at least I wasn't the only one with the blahs! The end of the day came quickly and I headed off to the gym in the rain (but it had lightened up significantly by that point). I had a brief foray on the elliptical, but I didn't feel as energetic as I had doing that last week. I was also trying to read and this particular model made that difficult because the book "shelf" isn't quite at eye level. I am reading Jennifer Weiner's latest chick-lit book and it is perfect exercise reading, so that was too bad. I also lifted and took some extra time to sit down and massage the inflamed incision areas. I hate it but I can really feel stuff moving around.
Matt is in New York tonight so I made myself stir-fry for one and hope to get to bed fairly soon. I just read about the earthquake in China--the sheer number of casualties is so terrible. We (as in Americans) are all wrapped up in our political news so it is a somber reminder of the problems in the rest of the world.
