Forced easy day
Much to my dismay (but probably my body's happiness) I only will have time for one workout today. And I'll probably wuss out on a second workout to get my nails done tomorrow afternoon, so I'm looking at a few easy days in a row. I think I'll live. Tonight we are invited to a barbecue at Matt's boss's house. It isn't a very warm day--we've had a very cool May so I know we are in for it in June--but it should be a good time. I am also going to be leaving my office shortly for a meeting downtown, so today is a busy one.
But I did get in a solid bike workout this morning. My legs felt a lot better than they did yesterday so I did hill intervals most of the time. I finished "Into the Wild"--it was great. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it. I'm still kind of disturbed that none of the story seemed familiar from the book, but it could have been more than 10 years ago that I read it. When the movie was over, I switched to "Real World"--much lighter fare, to say the least!
My knee bumps seem pretty much the same. I can't say that I'm icing as much as I should,. or always wearing a wrap when I work out (I sweat through it!) but I'm trying to be good. Tomorrow will be two months and I'm still unsure as to when I will be able to run again. It still catches a bit when I first get up and start to walk around, and when I first get off the bike (I have no pain or weird feelings while biking, thankfully). So that's the status report since I haven't given one in a while!
