Busy busy
I made a valiant attempt to get on the bike early this morning since I knew it would be nearly impossible to get to the gym in the afternoon. I didn't wake up quite as early as I wanted to, but I did okay. I was surprised that my legs weren't more sore from ellipticalling yesterday. I did some (unweighted) hamstring curls and that seemed to affect me most. (I'm on a kick to strengthen my chronically weak hamstrings, and I don't understand why all my biking doesn't do anything.) Anyway, today I finished my final "House" DVD (I can catch some of the season 4 episodes online, but I'll have to read the recaps of most) and started a new show--"Dexter." I didn't know a whole lot about it but enjoyed the one episode I watched. It certainly is an "out there" premise--a lovable serial killer who also happens to be a cop--but seems well done. As for my knees today, they were feeling okay. No major news to report. I am seeing the doctor on Friday and I think I know that I'm not yet ready to run, but my knee has sort of been feeling the same for about a week, so I'm a little concerned. We'll see what he says.
One of my after-work commitments tonight (I also had a work happy hour with the founder/owner of our company) had to do with something I haven't yet blogged about. Matt and I are pretty close to being able to say with 100% certainty that we are homeowners. After all of our house hunting, we found a place we really like and hopefully I can talk more about that soon! Tonight we were ironing out some last-minute details. We are pretty excited and hopefully it will all work out. My muscles didn't get a second workout, but I'm pretty sure it will all be worth it in the end!
