A long Friday
I am honestly surprised I am still awake, but I did nap on my train ride both to and from Princeton today. It actually wasn't that bad getting up at 4:30 or so this morning because I knew it would be the only chance I had to work out. I wouldn't be able to do it often, but once in awhile it is okay. Anyway, I only had about an hour so I made the most of it and tried to bike hard. I watched last night's season finale of "ER" but it was kind of disappointing. Maybe it was just the fact that I was sick of fast-forwarding through the commercials (used to DVDs). But other than that things went well and my knee felt...pretty much the same as it has recently. Not amazing but not too bad.
Our meeting went well today and I got to know a little more about some colleagues I hadn't had a chance to talk to. We met at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in Princeton and it is a really nice campus with a cafeteria that is free for all employees (and their visitors)--it's fairly healthy with a really impressive salad bar. Very cool.
By the time we got home, it was early evening and I met Matt downtown for dinner to celebrate our fourth anniversary. We went to Central, which has gotten rave reviews but is also known for being more casual than other "top" DC restaurants. The food was good--we each had the signature "lobster burger"--but the service left a lot to be desired. I didn't start getting tired until we got home, and now I can't wait to get into bed.
Happy weekend to all!
