Some good things
Today was one of those days when I woke up tired. Traveling, even short distances, always makes me tired. It was also pretty dark out since it was rainy, and that didn't help! I went to the gym to bike slowly and I felt like I could literally have fallen asleep while pedaling. I also did a few minutes on the UBB but I am trying my hardest to phase that out. Biking doesn't hurt, but it doesn't feel 100% normal yet either. At least I have an easier time reading on the bike when I am not working quite as hard.
Matt left with the car earlier than I needed to be at work today, so I took the Metro and got soaked. It wasn't raining that hard, but it was pretty steady, and my umbrella is on the small side. Most of the younger folks at work take the Metro too and we were all complaining about our wet jeans...yuck (but at least we can wear jeans). Aside from that excitement, work was quiet because a lot of people were out at an event. But my email box was buzzing and I was plenty occupied. When I went out to grab a sandwich, it wasn't raining anymore...but it started pouring while I was waiting in line for my order!
I went to the gym after work for some more slow biking (almost done with my book) and lifting. I am slowly starting to add in a few more things that require weight-bearing, like core work and lower-body stuff with the Thera-band. If it hurts, I stop. The most tender spot on my knee is near one of the incisions, the one where I assume they had to do the most "work" because it allows access to the medial portion of the knee. I am getting grossed out just thinking about it. Anyway, I avoid kneeling and anything that might stress it. Progress is progress, right? Here's to hoping for more.
