Middle of the week

I am feeling less tired from last weekend's travels as the week goes on and also starting to look forward to this weekend, when I can finally have some time to do my chores that have been neglected. This morning it was back on the trainer for me, and I was able to go a teensy bit harder, but still not clipped in or anything. I reunited with "House" and also got into the new season of "Real World." It has become a beautiful-people-want-to-get-famous show, but it is always entertaining. Good for watching on the bike, anyway. I am feeling a little soreness after being off the bike for a few weeks, but today felt better than yesterday, which I took as a good sign.

Not a whole lot else to report today. It was a beautiful day (in the mid-70s) but I was pretty much chained to my desk and it was Pizza (and salad) Wednesday so I didn't even have to go get lunch (I usually do make an effort to walk somewhere during the day). We were all "forced" to log off at 5:30 tonight because the tech people were making some upgrades to our server. It was off to the gym as usual for me, and I had a decent workout--biking and lifting, mostly, although I did a smidge more core (trying to add something new back in each day) and gingerly attempted some squats (NOT ready yet). In fact, I think I am going to sleep with my ice machine tonight because I overtaxed it a little bit. Hopefully that will calm it down--it isn't really hurting, but it feels slightly swollen.

It's great to hear that you're able to do some stuff (that isn't the UBB). I realize it must still be frustrating, but to an outside observer who only checks in once a day, it looks like you are making good progress! I hope it continues.
