Lots of time on my feet

I think I spent too much time walking around today and now my knee has swelled a bit. I plan to be icing it most of tonight to make up for all that mistreatment! But I had a pretty good day so I think it was worth it.

In the morning, I went up to my gym in Bethesda because I knew that they had a working UBB and I didn't want to take any chances. Plus, I have a locker there so I could easily shower. I subjected myself to about an hour of torture and it was soooo boring. I got my heart rate up some, but it was brutal. There was a TV in my line of vision, but it was pretty far away and it was just playing videos. I did see the new Madonna/Justin Timberlake video and I think she is too old to be jumping around half-naked. After I got off the bike, I made sure I could lift my arms and then I did some weights. I hate how I can't do my full abs/core routine, but I don't want to do anything that puts all my weight on my knee yet. (I forgot to ask my doctor about swimming, which I might try soon--but I want to make sure the stitches are all healed up.)

When I got home from the gym (finally), I intended to ice for a bit but we ended up heading down to Georgetown to meet Matt's boss and his daughter for a bite and a property scout-out. Right from there, I went to meet a friend to do some shopping up in Friendship Heights. Neither one of us found anything we really liked, but we had fun catching up. I hope my knee didn't mind too much!
