Finishing my busy weekend

It was definitely harder to get up when it was still dark today than it was yesterday. I got to bed before midnight last night but it wasn't quite enough hours of sleep. I felt okay riding the trainer, though--the Gatorade-spiked-water must have woken me up. I watched "House" and the Real World/Road Rules Challenge reunion show, which barely held my attention. It was another fairly quick workout but as usual, I did what I could in the time I had.

The one session I had to go to this morning was actually packed and it was definitely worthwhile. I went down to the exhibit hall to get coffee before the speakers started and was dismayed to see they had run out. There was a coffee shop in the hotel lobby so I tried that--it was closed for some reason. It was definitely good that the speakers were dynamic because I was hurting for some caffeine!

After the conference and some grocery shopping, I was home and on the couch ready for a nap. I did fall asleep but had surgery-apprehension dreams. I woke up and needed to de-stress so I headed down to the gym for some ellipticalling and abs work. It did make me feel a little more calm (what am I going to do when my healing knee prevents me from dashing off to the gym??) and I came home with a little more energy. Not sure if that will last the whole week, but it's a start.
