En-knee-gma
The week continues to go by (funny how that happens) and another Tuesday is almost in the books. I pressed the snooze bar on my alarm several times and had a hard time getting out of my warm, comfy bed. Eventually, though, I stomped down the hall (to scare away any rodents) and got ready to bike. This morning's "House" episode was good but very strange, having to do with hallucinations about alien abductions. You never know with that show. I also watched what I believe is the second-to-last "In Treatment" episode, which was supposed to be dramatic but I found kind of boring.
Fast forward to the end of my day and the gym. As I said yesterday, when I don't run for awhile and my knee doesn't get worse, I start to imagine that all my problems have gone away and I start thinking that the surgery isn't such a great idea (not that I was able to get in touch with the surgical coordinator today, either). So I hopped on the treadmill tonight, fully expecting to have to switch to the bike or the elliptical. Oddly, except for some hamstring tightness, I felt almost normal. Sure, I was going slowly, but my knee wasn't bothering me. I walk/jogged three miles and we'll see how things feel tomorrow. Most likely I have a piece of cartilage getting stuck periodically in a painful position, and the clean-up will help that, but this was curious. The plot thickens...maybe!
