Windy and cold, but an improvement

Happy Valentine's Day! Today was my first run since Sunday. I was hoping that my legs would feel better and less sore in the quad/ITB area, but I have also ridden the trainer every day this week and I am a bit concerned that this may be the cause of some of that soreness. Once things loosened up for me, I did find that my legs were a little more "normal." Of course, the fact that there was a bitter cold wind howling at me might have distracted me from thinking about my legs, but I think there was a little improvement there. And I wasn't too sore afterwards, either.

Matt was in New York for the day today for work, so we did not celebrate Valentine's Day (our tenth, actually) until tonight. But my office-mate's husband surprised her by dropping by with a bouquet of roses--it was cute! And of course there was a little extra chocolate around in the office today, always a good thing, in my opinion.

I did go to the gym after work before heading home and it was so empty because I'm sure people were out having dinner! When I did finally get home, Matt had candles and a nice present waiting for me. He even helped me make a quick dinner of hamburgers, couscous and sauteed spinach. It might not have been restaurant-quality, but it was still pretty good!
