Quiet Saturday

It felt great to sleep in this morning, although I weirdly woke up at 7am on my own (but went back to sleep). I wasn't particularly motivated to get out the door once I did get up, so I took my time, finding things to read online, etc. Eventually I headed out, and it was a good temperature--sunny and chilly, but not too cold. It took me a couple of miles to warm up and then I actually felt pretty good (aside from my usual aches here and there) for most of the run. My quads are still sore, though. Stopping to stretch a couple of times seemed to improve things. I ran for about an hour, which is pretty much my max these days--very depressing. If I felt good for an hour, I would feel confident that I would be able to build that up each week, but I'm not really at that point.

Matt was working on our taxes today and I was just sort of reading and hanging out. I didn't have any errands that couldn't wait until tomorrow so it was a good chance to just relax. I did get on the bike in the afternoon while watching NBC's Ironman World Championship show (several months after the fact) that I had DVR'd. It was a great motivator while on the bike--especially in hi-def!
