No complaints

It was aided by Advil, but I had a pretty good run this morning. I slept in a bit and finally got myself out the door around 9:30am. I ran kind of around the Zoo and then did a little out and back in Rock Creek Park and then made the (gentle) climb out of the Park and came back via the neighborhoods to the west of 16th St. I did about 10 or 12 more minutes of running than I have recently, and for now, it's an improvement. Most of my discomfort was in my quads. I am trying to stop shuffling and pick up my feet more, and that seems to help. I think that my heart/lungs are in better shape than my legs (although you'd think with all the biking that it might be the opposite) so I need to run at a pace that feels slow but is better on my legs, if that makes sense.

It was kind of a dreary and chilly day, but after I cleaned the apartment and took a brief nap on the couch, Matt and I took a walk to a library that is about a mile away. I hadn't been to this branch yet and I was very disappointed. I found a couple of things but nothing too impressive.

We are staying in tonight to watch various sporting events on TV, and maybe the first new "Saturday Night Live" since the writers' strike ended. I wish I could be at Reggie watching the USATF meet!
