Social run
My friend Liz is in town this weekend so we made plans to meet up to run this morning. It took less than 5 minutes for each of us to run toward each other so that worked out well. We headed up 16th Street for a few miles and then dropped down into Rock Creek Park. My legs were stiff starting out and I was huffing and puffing on the first hill, but I ended up feeling okay. Hopefully I didn't slow Liz down too much. We were chatting away the whole time so it went by quickly. It was sunny but pretty chilly and surprisingly I was appropriately attired.
We had a lot going on today. First we had a handyman over to fix some little things that have been bothering us, and then we went to take a really good look at a house we like. We spent more than 2 hours there, but I think we're probably going to keep looking for a place that we like even more. Then I went to get a manicure with Liz, who is having a birthday party tonight, and we are getting ready to head out for a quick bite and then the aforementioned party and one other. I still wish I could go to the Boston Indoor Games, but it should be a fun night all the same.
