Frozen hands
I checked the weather before I left for my run this morning and thought I dressed appropriately--or appropriately for me, anyway. It wasn't very windy or anything, and I had gloves on, but my hands were freezing almost the entire time and in fact worsened throughout the run! This is not a common occurrence for me. But that was pretty much my biggest complaint--I had a little pes/knee pain here and there but for the most part felt good. When I got home, I couldn't wait to warm up my hands, but they hurt so much that I could barely get my gloves off to turn the key in the door. They did eventually thaw out, but boy is that an uncomfortable feeling! I will wear my warmer gloves tomorrow and try not to worry about hot hands.
I spent a lot of the morning training our new intern and then made myself cold again by walking to the one decent lunch place near work. (And it really was not that cold out today--in the 40s I think!) By the time I left the gym tonight--which incidentally was SO crowded--the wind had picked up and I was hoping I'd catch the bus to save myself the walk home in a jacket that wasn't really weather-appropriate. Alas, the bus never came but some good old-fashioned race-walking with two bags did the trick!
