Balmy days of Jan.
I must admit, it was kind of nice to roll out of bed this morning and know that I didn't really need to worry about dressing for the weather. It was a little breezy, but very warm. Matt was up early too because he was taking the train to New York this morning. We chatted a bit since he was out last night watching the BCS game and I was sleeping when he came home, and then I headed out. My knees were similarly achy as they had been the past couple of days I ran, but nothing too terrible. I huffed and puffed up to the Cathedral and then just kind of made up a new route on the way back. Part of it involved running through a development that appeared to cut through to a main road and when I got to the other side of the development, I was blocked in by a gate! Luckily a woman was coming out and I snuck through the gate. When I got back from my run I was very hot and thirsty...kind of like I feel in the summer months!
Nothing much else to report from the day, although it is worth mentioning that I wore flip-flops on my way to the bus this morning :) I went to the gym tonight--lots of students--and am now home watching the coverage of the New Hampshire primaries. I've become interested again after the Iowa caucuses and the realization that the election is less than a year away!
