New shoes (can I get new knees?)

I was glad to see that my new sneakers (same as always, the Gel Evolution) arrived in the mail yesterday. I don't know how my other pair got so worn out in the past couple of months, but they did. I've always been one to wear out shoes quickly. I laced them up for this morning's run and set out. Unfortunately today was not a great knee day. I did my Howard U-hospitals loop and it was pretty chilly. My long-sleeve shirt was long enough to keep my hands inside so it didn't really matter that I didn't wear gloves, but I think that tactic made my skin really dry. My legs are even worse after a couple of colder runs in shorts. In any case, my run today wasn't terrible, I just had some inner knee pain. The run went by quickly, though, so that's a good sign.

I don't have too much else from the day to report. I went to the gym after work as usual and found a bike and got my lifting in. Tonight Matt brought home fresh pasta from an Italian deli near work, so we had a nice dinner together--definitely a highlight of the day/night!
