Back on the bike

I had tentative plans to run with someone this morning, but they got pushed to tomorrow, so I decided to be cautious and bike again since unfortunately my leg is still not feeling so hot. I made the poor decision to wear regular--not padded--spandex and the whole ride was just a little uncomfortable. I was all set to order an On Demand movie, but something was up with the system and it wasn't letting me order. So, I listened to music and watched the news on mute. It always bothers me that the local NBC station scrolls about five headlines on the bottom of the screen during the "Today Show"--don't they ever think about adding a few more so that viewers aren't seeing the same ones over and over and over? They aren't even that interesting. I did see that the weather is supposed to be quite warm tomorrow (mid-60s) and Wednesday (70). I knew summer wasn't really over yet!

I think everyone at work agreed that today just dragged. It didn't feel like a holiday, although a bunch of my federal government friends were off, and it was kind of cloudy most of the day. Just one of those molasses Mondays, I guess. By the time the end of the day came around, I was very antsy and ready to go to the gym. It was packed. I nabbed a bike just as someone was getting off and then I lifted after that. Nothing too out of the ordinary there.

Matt is on his way to LA again for most of the week, so I'm on my own again. As usual, I am trying to stick to a good early bedtime schedule since I have no "distractions"!
