A long one (day, that is)

Boy, I forgot how tiring it is to go to scientific meetings--I can barely keep my eyes open. I was on the bike by about 5:30 this morning so I could make it to registration and an 8:30 session at APHA. It would have been more efficient to run but I am trying to be good about keeping a cross-training day in my weekly routine. Plus, I had both an episode of "ER" and and the season finale (I think) of "Tori and Dean: Inn Love" to watch. I did a bunch of "hill" intervals and noticed that my "good" knee was pretty sore when I got off. It didn't bother me the rest of the day, but I didn't do any more working out because--for once--I did not have any time.

I went to sessions until lunchtime and then met up with a classmate (and good friend) from grad school. We had lunch and then went to more sessions and then met at the Harvard School of Public Health alumni event. The food was sub-par, but there were a lot of people from our class there and a few good networking opportunities. I thought I would feel guilty because I wasn't able to work out again, but I just feel...tired!
