Low-key day

It's always great to have a third weekend day. Matt got up in time to go to an 8am meeting, and I felt a little guilty...but I went back to sleep for a couple of hours. I decided that today would be a good day to cross train: it is still hot and humid (unfortunately until Thursday or so, I heard today) and I had a "big" last three days of running. I also had enough to watch so that I'd be occupied for a good chunk of time. I watched "ER" and the rest of the Dixie Chicks movie that I started on Thursday. My butt was getting a little numb by the end, but it was a good workout.

Laura was heading downtown to have lunch with a friend before taking the train to NY, so I hung out with her for a bit before she left and then did a couple of errands myself. The rest of the afternoon was spent reading and, my favorite free-time activity, napping. And then of course I went to the gym--it was very crowded since the students were all off today too--and did a little biking and my upper-body lifting routine. I stopped at the grocery store on the way home and it was ridiculously crowded! It was either due to the holiday or maybe it always is at 7pm...I wouldn't know.

Matt's in New York tonight and possibly tomorrow, so I am enjoying some quiet time after a busy weekend. Back to work tomorrow and I am so looking forward to the end of the week weather change!
