Indian summer
The stifling heat and humidity finally lifted after a pretty heavy rainstorm just about 90 minutes ago. Although it was kind of drizzly all day, it was super oppressive especially when I left for my run. Luckily it was a short one, and I didn't have to go quite as early because my first stop was a meeting close to home. I was dripping with sweat probably within a mile...yuck. As for the knees, it was an "eh" day. Not terrible, but I've had better this week. I am planning to do a longish run tomorrow so hopefully it will feel okay.
It's Friday, so that was it for working out. Matt and I had dinner at a new (to us) wood-burning pizza place with our friends. I had recently read an article hyping this place up, and it wasn't that great, but it was pretty decent, especially since I was so hungry. By 9:30 all four of us were yawning so we called it a night.
Happy weekend to all!
