Humbling hills
Camille and I couldn't do our usual run this morning in Georgetown because of Marine Corps, so we met at my place. I suggested a rather hilly run, not thinking about the fact that even when I was in good shape, Camille always leaves me in the dust on hills. We had a hard time getting started because it was so windy! I felt bad for the marathoners, but at least the temperature was in the 50s, which is pretty much as good as it's going to get for MCM. Anyway, once we got started on the hills in the Park, Camille got significantly ahead of me. I can only maintain on hills right now and she obviously has the ability to surge! I think I have a little more endurance than she does, though, because she was struggling a little bit at the end and I was doing okay. We both commented that it was a good run and a little bit longer than we usually do on Sundays.
Today I did the errands I had wanted to do yesterday and then I came home and rode the bike for a bit. I got a bloody nose right in the middle of it. It stopped quickly but it was annoying. Since the run, I have been sneezing all day and my nose has been running so I'm sure it's related--probably an allergy stirred up by the wind because I don't feel like I have a cold or anything.
Instead of staying in like usual on a Sunday evening, Matt and I are off to a WWE event at the Verizon Center. I mentioned to somebody at work that Matt was a wrestling fan, and she sprung a pair of free tickets on me on Friday! I am not really a fan but it is always somewhat entertaining!
