Hot and cold

This morning's run was weird. I woke up with a headache and immediately took Aleve, which I've recently discovered works almost instantaneously (I should be on a commercial). By the time I was out the door ten minutes later, the headache was gone. Because I was chilly yesterday, I wore a long sleeve today and of course regretted it after about 10 minutes. But I didn't really feel warm enough to take it off, either. I felt like I had chills or something because I was hot but my shirt was cold with sweat--it was weird. Lots of people at work have had colds, sore throats, etc. so I thought maybe I was getting sick, but so far, it was just during running that I felt crappy. It's usually the opposite!

Anyway, I did not have time to run very far today, so I did what I could (a route I think of as my "sketchy loop") and then it was the usual mad rush to get ready. I was excited at the prospect of Halloween candy at work and in fact there was some--but not too much, which was good since I tend to overdo. There was even candy at the gym, the most unlikeliest of places (not this gym, really). I definitely stocked up when I was leaving after lifting tonight because as everyone knows, on Halloween, candy has no calories :)

I don't have too much else exciting to report. I did think that tonight would have been an awesome night (weatherwise) for a track workout. Ah, well...someday I'll be back.
