Deja vu
Another rainy run, although this time it was light enough so that I didn't need my hat. we have really gotten a lot of rain here over the last 72 hours or so, and I think it's finally tapering off. I was lucky--or strategic--enough not to slip on any leaves again this morning, so that was good. Being a creature of habit, I did my usual Friday loop. Fingers crossed, my newest iPod has been working fine and my knee felt all right (for me) too. Despite the weather, I actually saw a few other wet runners out there, too!
I spent much of the morning and afternoon walking either to appointments or meetings across campus, soaking my shoes in the process. It was fortunate that I remembered both my umbrella and my awesome L.L. Bean raincoat so the rest of me stayed relatively dry. I guess I've never had a real raincoat before--I am always amazed that it actually gets wet on the outside but doesn't absorb much.
I am heading out to pick up Matt and our dinner...happy XC conference weekend to all!
